Please Bear With Us

I know that I have the best clients in the entire world and I want to say thank you to each one of you.  I also wanted to post a little update on life.  Kyleigh is very ill again.  She is battling some pretty horrific infections and may need reconstructive surgery on her anus (again) as well as a bladder surgery.  We are trying our best to maintain her kidney status but only time will tell if she can keep her kidney.  We are back and forth between two different children’s hospital and home and have been forced to spend a lot of time away from our computers, thus the slow down in proofs, orders etc.  Please bear with us as this is an excrutiating time for our family.  Every moment that I am home I am working toward catching up with proofs and orders.

If you have left a voicemail in the past two weeks… your call should be returned in the next 3 days.

If you have emailed and not received a response… please email again.  This means that your email is probably buried in our 687 that have arrived in our inbox in the past few weeks.

We do apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Have you seen us around town???

We bet you have and you didn’t even know it!!!  One of our recent wedding portraits was featured on the billboards for the Bridal Potpourri Bridal show that happened Sunday at the Embassy Suites!  The bride was Ashley Noe Meister… her wedding photos can be found below!!!

Our note to those we met at the Bridal Show… tell us you saw us on the billboard and receive $100 off your wedding package!!!!!!!!!

Kara’s Maternity Session

I had the honor of photographing Kara and her husband Matthew’s maternity session.  I have photographed my share of maternity sessions and they each have their own “something” that makes them special.  Even more than the normal glow of pregnancy, I have to tell you that this new mommy is just a beautiful soul.  Kara is the PA for Ky’s surgeon Dr. Joe Iocono.  For all obvious reasons she is extra special to us.  Many early mornings and late nights Kara spent at the hospital Kara has always been there to greet us with a smile.  She truly has been a lifeline for us in making sure that things are getting done in a timely manner for Kyleigh.  We cannot tell you what it means to us to have such amazing people caring for Kyleigh.  I find myself in tears as I try to find the words to say “Thank You” to Kara for all that she has done, and continues to do, for Kyleigh but I am at a loss.  Those of you who know me well will attest to the fact that I am rarely without words…  (go ahead and laugh… I know you are all laughing at that statement but at least I am honest with myself!)

Kara and Matthew your love for each other and for this new little one is tangible and I know that this is just the start of many new memories and happy days ahead.  We wish you an easy labor and cannot wait to meet the new bean!!

Robey Family

I have had the privilege of watching Lilli grow up so much over the past year.  It is always amazing to see these tiny babies turn into toddlers with their own personalities and opinions.  Lilli has changed SO much since the last time I saw her.  She has turned into a beautiful big girl!!  Miss Camelia, I am convinced, will be a model some day!!  You just keep working it girly!!  I can’t wait to see you on the cover of Vogue!

We were able to get the entire family together for a session back in June and here is what came of it!  Leah and Kevin… your family is truly beautiful and it is our privelege to be a part of creating these memories with you!

Avery 1 year photos

I have had the privilege of photographing Miss Avery since BEFORE she was born!  How cool is that?  It seems unreal to me that she is a year old.  A few things that I have learned about Avery… she is the DEFINITION of “Daddy’s Girl” and she LOVES sweets!  She tore into that cake like there was no tomorrow!  Hey what girl doesn’t love a little cake??

As a little note to Avery:  May the days that lie ahead of you be filled with amazing experiences, immeasurable happiness, and pure joy!  The world is yours for the taking!  Happy Birthday Avery!

Liz & Josh’s Wedding (Southland Christian & Talon Winery)

I truly wish there was a way I could hook up a webcam to watch each of my couples as they see their wedding photos for the first time! I really do wish that I could see the excitement (and tears if there are any!) on their faces as they watch their slideshow and remember their wedding day.

Liz and Josh were married Saturday, May 10, 2008 in the Chapel at Southland Christian Church. Their amazing reception followed at Talon Winery on Tates Creek Road. As stormy Friday evening gave way to a cool crisp Saturday afternoon with clear blue skies and not a single threat of rain. As bright and sunny as the day was Josh and Liz’s tender moments that they shared standing on the altar in front of their unity candle. From the party bus to the heartfelt toasts and speeches made by both Liz’s father and Josh…their wedding day was filled with lots of laughter, a few tears and many newly made memories. It was my honor and privilege to be a part of their day.

The music featured is “The Luckiest” by Ben Folds. This is the song Josh and Liz first danced to as husband and wife.

Without further ado… Josh and Liz

Ashley & Keith, Centenary Methodist & Embassy Suites

Ashley and Keith Rickman were married yesterday, May 24, 2008 at Centenary United Methodist Church.  Their reception followed at the Embassy Suites on Newtown Pike.  I have known Ashley for at least 10 years now and was so thrilled to get to be a part of her big day!  It was an AMAZING day.  Lots of laughs and love as Ashley and Keith started their new life together.  Ashley looked stunning in her lace strapless gown and Keith in his tux with pocket squares!  Gotta love the pocket squares!  LOL  We even managed to find 10 minutes to stop at Triangle Park for some pictures on the way to the reception.  Ashley and Keith got LOTS of honks, as they should!  You can tell they were just made for each other!  The night was made a little extra special with a serenade by Ashley’s Daddy of the song “I Loved her First”… I assure you … there was NOT a dry eye in the place.

Congratulations Guys… wishing you many years of laughter and love!

Here’s a sneak peek of their day!

Leighann & David Urban Chic Maternity Lexington

I have to say that Leighann is one of the coolest pregnant mama’s I have ever met! She and David are going to make GREAT parents! The best part is… I get to be around to document it! YAY!!! We had a blast dodging the rain and roaming the streets of downtown Lexington finding cool places to photograph their maternity session. Leighann was totally styling still wearing HEELS ladies and gentlemen! At 36 weeks! Yeah… by 36 weeks Old Navy flip flops were the ONLY thing that fit my feet!

So here is a little sneak peek of their rockin urban maternity pics in downtown Lexington…..

my favorite surprise first dance video

I absolutely love this video. Man if only we had thought outside the box for our wedding dance and done something like this. Speaking of which anyone have some video of Ryan and Danelle’s awesome dancing at their wedding?!?! That stuff really blew me away and now I crank that “Cupid Shuffle”.

09 Senior Model – Maura

Meet Maura… she is one of our 2009 Senior Models. Maura is a member of the Class of 2009 at Scott County High School.
