Erica & Adam’s Bodley-Bullock House Wedding

What a beautiful day and gorgeous setting we had for Erica and Adam’s wedding at the Bodley-Bullock House!  The venue’s historic charm reflected the grace and beauty of the bride while providing an intimate setting for such a personal celebration.  The love Erica and Adam share for each other was evident throughout the day’s festivities, from the way the bride and groom looked at each other to the laughter they shared.  Congratulations, Erica and Adam!  It was an honor to be a part of your very special day!

Keri & Kevin’s Griffin Gate Marriott Wedding

There is just something about a genuine smile and joy that takes a bride from beautiful to gorgeous.  She’s not worried about keeping her makeup and hair flawless, if the day’s details are perfect, or where the photographer is standing.  No, this bride is focused on her groom and enjoying every moment of their special day.

Keri was certainly one of these brides.  She was beaming in every photo taken on her wedding day!  Kevin also was bubbling over with emotion, love, and admiration for his bride.  It is so special to be able to capture such pure emotions!  Congratulations, Keri and Kevin!  It was an honor to be a part of you special day!

Leah & Justin’s Frazier History Museum Wedding Celebration

Leah and Justin were married on a beautiful warm beach somewhere far far away, but they recently had a reception in Louisville at the Frazier History Museum to celebrate their beach side nuptials.  The gorgeous museum rooftop offered some stunning scenery for this amazing couple that we couldn’t help but capture and share!  We were honored to be a part of their celebration!

Sarah & Tyler’s Transylvania Wedding

Sarah and Tyler have a very sweet and special love that they share.  Photographing them was a very humbling experience for us.  Sarah and Tyler met while attending Transylvania University, which made it the perfect location for their fall wedding.  This campus holds so many memories and special spots for many Transy couples, such as Back Circle, Haupt Plaza, and the Kissing Tree.  For Sarah and Tyler, one particular campus classroom changed their lives.  The first time their eyes met Sarah and Tyler were sitting in class in this room, and much of their love story involves this classroom and getting to know each other there.  It was SO special to have their first look in the very room where they first laid eyes on each other… very emotional and sentimental!  I was honored to have the opportunity to photograph such a special moment.

Kelsey & Ted’s Keeneland Wedding

It is always a privilege to be invited to photograph a wedding day, but it makes that day even better when it includes two of the most animated and fun people we have gotten to work with all year!  You know there are some people you just connect with in life and know that you would be good friends… these two are those kind of people.  Their Versailles, Kentucky wedding and Keeneland reception were just beautiful!  We had such a fun time capturing their memories, as well as making memories of our own! Congratulations, Kelsey and Ted!

Taylor & Kyle’s Maysville Wedding

Taylor and Kyle’s wedding was an incredible day of beauty, touching emotions, and personal details, including many wedding tasks the couple chose to tackle themselves!  The couple’s union took place at a gorgeous private estate in Maysville, Kentucky, and the Maysville Country Club was the perfect setting for their celebratory reception!  From the very beginning, the day was full of moments that truly took your breath away.

While the bride began her day with a little pampering, hair, and makeup…

…The groom started the day with a little RUGBY!

We obviously love to capture the moments our couples experience before walking down the aisle.  Many couples choose to see each other for a “First Look” before the ceremony, maybe to ease the nerves, out of excitement, or just to have some time alone before the whirlwind of the day ensues.  Other couples choose to be a little more traditional and wait to see each other until the moment the bride walks toward her groom down the aisle.  Taylor and Kyle wanted a pre-ceremony experience all of their own.  This is yet another one of THOSE moments that define me as a photographer.  When Tyalor said that they would like to hold hands but not see each other I wondered how we could make it happen.  When I set this scene up I still had no idea that I would stand back, and watch this unfold, with tears dripping off my nose, trying desperately to keep the camera still and be quiet while they enjoyed their moment. This is one of those photos that, while beautiful, can never fully even tip the surface of what it felt like to STAND there in that moment. It is a beautiful memory.

“This is one of those moments in life for me that just stood still. The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life.” – Kyle

To watch someone as strong as Kyle, a soldier, who so bravely and valiantly defends our country, stand with tears running down his face as his bride came down the aisle… It was a humbling and moving experience.

YES!!!!!!!!!! Love a good fist pump at the end of a ceremony!

Rachel & Noah’s Talon Winery Wedding

Beautiful, fun, and sassy surely describe Rachel and Noah’s Talon Winery Wedding!  Both the bride and groom looked STUNNING, and the setting was striking!  It was a pretty amazing wedding!  Rachel beamed with bridal beauty all day, even before Nicole Grote with Artistry HD worked her magic!  Noah even trimmed his magnificent beard for his special day!  (If you recall, he displayed some impressive facial hair for their engagement session!)  The wedding party even stepped up and delivered some awesome attitude and fun, decked out in shades!  Just check out how awesome this couple and their guests were on this special day!

Have we mentioned before how much we love a couple’s first look of each other?!?  We just can’t get enough of these special moments!

Rachel and Noah  added some very personal and unique details to their special day, including Rachel’s grandmother’s garter from 1958 and literally tying the knot (one of our favorite parts of the ceremony!).  The ceremony and reception were perfectly coordinated by Rayna Ortwein with Always Planned, and the florals were beautifully designed by A Perfect Posy.

We love watching Martine Holzman with Martine’s Pastries in action!! You are a true artist!

The bouquet toss is serious business!

Keisha & Shane’s Talon Wedding

So this wedding season we had a celebrity crash a wedding (See LaTonya & John’s Downtown Wedding!), and now a celebrity-inspired wedding!  When Keisha told me that she and Shane were having a Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert style wedding I literally jumped up and down!  The details of this gorgeous affair were executed beautifully by Swan’s Landing, from the florals to the catering and even down to the wedding day coordination!  Of course the beautiful scenery of Talon Winery only added to the splendor of the day!  Just stunning!

We LOVE to experience our couples’ first looks of each other.  Each one is so memorable, and such a special moment for each bride and groom!

We have to acknowledge the amazing vendors who styled our lovely bride and her bridesmaids!  Keisha said YES! to her dress at Bridal & Formal in Cincinnati.  She found some beautiful boots for herself and her bridal party that coordinate with her Blake and Miranda inspired theme at Reds Boot Barn.  Boots of Awesomeness??? I believe so!

No reception is complete without some cake comotion and an intense bouquet toss!

There is nothing better than standing at the second wedding in a couple months in the SAME FAMILY!! We were so blessed to have been able to photograph TWO beautiful couples in this family!  Two lovely couples who we were able to spend BOTH their wedding days with!
