There is nothing better than 85 degree weather and a beach wedding. We also love quiet weddings in the mountains, intimate affairs on family farms, big city celebrations… Well, let’s be honest, we love weddings anywhere, but it is especially fun when we get to travel with our couples for exciting destination weddings!
We had the perfect day for Liz and Jeff’s beautiful beach wedding. The Island of Captiva was stunning, and our couple was fabulous. We wish you both love and happiness.
Months of planning have led up to this day. You are filled with so much emotion. You’ve spent the morning running around, getting hair and makeup completed and finishing last minute details. Amid the hustle and bustle of one of the most emotional days of your life you take a time out. It’s an exciting, yet calming time together.
Not all of our couples abide by the traditional idea of waiting to see the bride until she walks down the aisle. Some are taking a special time out before the ceremony to be together. We have very traditional couples, modern couples, couples that want to think WAY outside of the box, and couples who creatively fall somewhere in between. Some of our couples choose to see each other, while others find creative ways to steal a few moments together without actually seeing each other.
This time out is a special moment to have with just the two of you (and your favorite photographers!!) before the wedding festivities begin. It’s a quiet time to focus on the two of you; not the flowers, the food, or worrying about that crazy relative who you know is going to break out their best Elvis impression during the reception. Some couples pray together, some joke and laugh, and there are usually tears. Whether the couple chooses to actually see each other or not before the ceremony, this special time before the wedding day festivities is an emotional, intimate, and memorable moment.
Weddings are filled with emotions. They are expressed during the preparations, the ceremony, and the celebration. We are honored to share in these moments with so many couples, their family, and their friends. We love what we do because we get the opportunity to capture these priceless moments for our couples to cherish throughout the years.
From their playful wedding party to the quiet private moments, Laura and Alex’s Talon wedding was a beautiful day full of memorable and emotional moments. Their wedding day was raw, genuine, and honest. No one hid their tears, laughs, or even disgust of PDA You just have to check out the photos to see for yourself! Congratulations Laura and Alex! It is obvious that you have a life full of love ahead of you!

When Nicole asked “What are you doing March 23rd?” I knew exactly where that was leading! We were honored to travel with Nicole, Nate and their family to Gatlinburg for their beautiful wedding day. It may have been rainy, but even the rain could not dampen the happiness! What a fun time we had with these two! I mean, how do you not love a bride in bare feet? Love that! They are just so full of life, fun, and love for each other! Their joy is contagious! Congrats Nate and Nicole!

What a beautiful day and gorgeous setting we had for Erica and Adam’s wedding at the Bodley-Bullock House! The venue’s historic charm reflected the grace and beauty of the bride while providing an intimate setting for such a personal celebration. The love Erica and Adam share for each other was evident throughout the day’s festivities, from the way the bride and groom looked at each other to the laughter they shared. Congratulations, Erica and Adam! It was an honor to be a part of your very special day!

There is just something about a genuine smile and joy that takes a bride from beautiful to gorgeous. She’s not worried about keeping her makeup and hair flawless, if the day’s details are perfect, or where the photographer is standing. No, this bride is focused on her groom and enjoying every moment of their special day.
Keri was certainly one of these brides. She was beaming in every photo taken on her wedding day! Kevin also was bubbling over with emotion, love, and admiration for his bride. It is so special to be able to capture such pure emotions! Congratulations, Keri and Kevin! It was an honor to be a part of you special day!

Leah and Justin were married on a beautiful warm beach somewhere far far away, but they recently had a reception in Louisville at the Frazier History Museum to celebrate their beach side nuptials. The gorgeous museum rooftop offered some stunning scenery for this amazing couple that we couldn’t help but capture and share! We were honored to be a part of their celebration!

Sarah and Tyler have a very sweet and special love that they share. Photographing them was a very humbling experience for us. Sarah and Tyler met while attending Transylvania University, which made it the perfect location for their fall wedding. This campus holds so many memories and special spots for many Transy couples, such as Back Circle, Haupt Plaza, and the Kissing Tree. For Sarah and Tyler, one particular campus classroom changed their lives. The first time their eyes met Sarah and Tyler were sitting in class in this room, and much of their love story involves this classroom and getting to know each other there. It was SO special to have their first look in the very room where they first laid eyes on each other… very emotional and sentimental! I was honored to have the opportunity to photograph such a special moment.
It is always a privilege to be invited to photograph a wedding day, but it makes that day even better when it includes two of the most animated and fun people we have gotten to work with all year! You know there are some people you just connect with in life and know that you would be good friends… these two are those kind of people. Their Versailles, Kentucky wedding and Keeneland reception were just beautiful! We had such a fun time capturing their memories, as well as making memories of our own! Congratulations, Kelsey and Ted!
Most little girls dream of feeling and looking like a princess on their wedding days. You’ve already found your prince, so what princess wedding isn’t complete without castle? Anna had the ultimate princess dream wedding at the beautiful Castle Post. He gown was gorgeous, her groom was dashing, and the setting was stunning…It was like stepping into “Once upon a time…” Kentucky Studio was honored to be a part of Anna and David’s beautiful day. Congratulations to you both!
