Randa & James Engagement

Randa and James were the winners of our Free Wedding Giveaway.  Each year we like to find a way to give back so we host a contest and give away a completely free wedding photography package with all the perks.  Randa and James have a pretty amazing story (they are so humble that I am sure they would debate that their “amazingness” but I can say it just the same!). We had SO much fun shooting their engagement pics, from Keeneland to Train Tracks to Commonwealth Stadium and back again.  I always “plan” to shoot an engagement session in under an hour but somehow that seems to get blown out of the water!  We get started and just cannot stop… LOL.

They will be getting married in Wilmore at the Estes Chapel on Asbury’s campus in August.  We are SO very excited to spend their big day with them!!

Annette and Tom – Bi Coastal love turned Kentucky Engagement Session…

Annette and Tom came a LONG way for our photo sessions! Annette drove from DC (kudos to her!) and Tom flew in on a late night flight from Cali! We ended up shooting Annette’s bridals on a Thursday (which will be under lock and key … or just a password until after their wedding in October) and their Engagement on Friday! The very first time I met Annette I knew that she was definitely a SS&G Bride! So very confident, comfortable with herself and when she spoke of Tom I could literally SEE the twinkle in her eye. I had the privilege of hearing their love story while we were photographing their engagement session and it is certainly one for the books. A Bi-Coastal love, the bulk of which has been spent with she on the East Coast (DC) and he on the West Coast (Cali)… I don’t know how they do it!!!!  At any rate their passion shines through and the two of them together seem unscathed by the adversity. I am so excited to photograph their wedding and to be a part of a amazing beginning of the rest of their lives!

Congrats you two! See you in October!

Zach & Jennifer Urban Engagement

Zach and Jennifer are getting married in September and I cannot wait. They have a style that is just so modern and fun!! We, of course, have the privilege of photographing their wedding!!! YAY! We had a blast with these engagement pics and although we nearly melted it was so worth it. Totally cracked me up that I had been eyeballing this location to shoot in and independently Zach and Jennifer had “eye spy”ed it too!!!! Funny how you can be on the same wavelength with someone!

I mean how flipping awesome are these two???

Kim & Jeff

We will be photographing Kim & Jeff’s wedding on July 26th. I have actually known Kim since HIGH SCHOOL… which seems oh so long ago now… yikes. We are officially getting OLD I believe! It has been great to come back into contact with Kim and to meet and get to know Jeff. I know that these two are just beginning a beautiful life together and we are excited to be a part of their big day!

Brumfield Engagement

Brandon and Sandy are getting married on June 28, 2008. Even though we were rained out twice trying to shoot their engagement pics we challenged the threatening skies and won this time! We had a great time and of course their pictures are FABULOUS! Even though we managed to nearly be washed away by the floodwaters and experience the lovely dead fish on the bridge at Jacobson park all is well that ends well! We cannot wait until your wedding day !!

Urban Engagement Photos Lexington, KY

Chelsen and Dackery will be married May 31, 2008. We had a ton of fun looking for cool places to shoot their engagement pictures. Obviously… they are huge football fans and we nearly FROZE to death creating the football field images! They were great sports and you can truly tell that theirs is a love that will last a lifetime! I can’t wait until their wedding!!!

Anna & Collin

I had the privilege of photographing Anna and Collin’s Engagement at Keeneland. They are truly a gem of a couple! Collin is a riot… I was bummed that he didn’t wear the plaid shorts!!! (Do I get to photograph the plaid shorts eventually?)

Anna and Collin will be married next August and I am so glad that I get to spend time with their wedding planning for a whole year!! YAY!

Lauren & Thom

I had the distinct privilege of photographing Lauren and Thom ( aka T – HOM ) at the very place they were engaged, and then again on their wedding day. I have never met two more beautiful people in my life. Lauren & Thom are the epitome of kindness. Their wedding day was peaceful, warm, kind and filled with tears of joy. The light that I found in these two is not something you often see. It is a kind and compassionate form of love that lifts you up. Watching them has made me a better person, a better artist, and hopefully a better soul. Lauren and Thom I hope you know that your images are extra special. They represent a newness and renewing all at the same time. You all brought me back to my roots and helped me remember to “find the light”. I can only hope that I get to share in their family’s memories for years to come. Truly amazing.

Theresa & Chris

Meet Theresa and Chris. They are getting married in September and I know its going to be fabulous!!!!!!!!!! They are truly such a great couple! It was my honor and privilege to be asked to participate in their wedding!

Keith & Ashley

Not only is it the season for weddings… but engagements too! I have about 5 engagements to post over the next week or two! This is the first. Meet Ashley and Keith. They are getting married next May. I have known Ashley for several years and she is a total sweetheart! I am so glad that she found her prince charming! You can definitely tell by the way Keith looks at her that they were meant to be!
