Chelsen & Dackery Cumberland Falls Wedding

Chelsen and Dackery were married May 31, 2008 at Cumberland Falls. While the skies threatened rain it held off and was a gorgeous sunny (traditionally humid) Kentucky Day. I have to give kudos to their Bridal Party… I think Chelsen had some of the most FABULOUS bridesmaids ever!! They were totally attentive and totally willing to do ANYTHING that she asked… even go trudging through murky water!!! My favorite part of the day? Getting wet up to my knees to capture those AMAZING water shots! Chelsen and Dackery were in wedding attire up to their knees also… what great sports… oh yeah.. that and the “His & Hers”… uhhhmmmm LOL (something only Chelsen and Dackery will be able to laugh at!) We wish Chelsen and Dackery all the best. It was our honor to be a part of your big day!!

Keith & Ashley Wedding Photos Centenary Methodist and Embassy Suites Lexington

Keith and Ashley were married on May 17, 2008 at Centenary United Methodist Church and their reception followed at the Embassy Suites on Newtown Pike. I have known Ashley for several years and was MORE than flattered when she and Keith decided to have us photograph their big day. Keith and Ashley are two very special people. I have NEVER seen a couple who have so much FUN together. Ashley has a smile that is just infectious there is no start or end to it… it just erupts into ear to ear grinning and giggling and you can just tell when she looks at Keith that there is no one else on earth who could possibly be any more perfect for her. Keith is an absolute doll! I told Troy after I photographed their engagement almost a year ago that Ashley had definitely met her perfect match. They definitely “complete” each other. I knew going into their wedding day that there would be NO super serious images to be had at this wedding. I don’t honestly know that I have ever seen a bride so giddy happy and excited to walk down that aisle. Their day was a blast filled with a few tears, much love and more laughter than I will ever be able to forget. Keith and Ashley… thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day. Thank you for showing us the meaning of “Live, Laugh, Love”….

Beth & Brian’s Wedding Macedonia Christian & Keeneland

Beth and Brian were married on May 10, 2008 at the Macedonia Christian Church in Lexington. Their reception followed at the Keene Barn Entertainment Center on the gorgeous property of Keeneland. It was our first time photographing a wedding party there and WOW. The day was gorgeous with bright blue cloudless skies and a crisp cool breeze. Beth wore a gorgeous antique lace gown and her bridesmaids donned fabulous COACH shoes. (We LOVED those btw!!) It was a high energy day filled with many laughs and tons of love. Beth and Brian celebrated late into the night surrounded by their family and friends. It was our privilege to be a part of their special day.

liz & josh, reception at talon winery

Liz and Josh were one of the couples who were married Saturday.  This is just a little sneak peek.  I know they are totally tanning in Aruba right now but I couldn’t resist!!!  This was taken just before Sunset.  I was able to steal them away from their gorgeous reception at Talon Winery and take a walk through the vineyards.  It was a cool crisp evening but I would say that these two warmed it up nicely!  Liz and Josh- enjoy the sun and sand in Aruba!!  I am totally jealous that we are stuck in allergy land  (read Lexington, KY) … I am dying to see pics when you get back!

Padgett Wedding Photography Show

Robyn and Jesse’s wedding was August 11,2007 at the Woodland Christian Church just up the street from our studio. It was a very special day in that is the same location where Robyn’s parents were married. Their reception followed at the Campbell House where they had a LIVE band!! The Moodogs definitely kept the party going. We were able to pull Robyn and Jesse off the dance floor long enough to sneak away for some intimate portraits near the pool. Congratulations to you both and we sincerely apologize for not getting this uploaded MUCH sooner.

Ryan & Danelle’s Wedding Photographs (Central Christian and Talon Winery)

Ryan and Danelle were married on January 12, 2008 at Central Christian Church in downtown Lexington. Their fabulous reception followed at Talon Winery off Tates Creek Road. It was a total blast. I think that Ryan and Danelle definitely will hold the record for largest wedding party for a while to come … all told there were 24 member of the bridal party!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW!! It was so fun getting try to new things. We had hoped for snow alas we were on the opposite end of the spectrum.. I believe it was close to 60 degrees… I guess if there was no snow then our second choice was a GORGEOUS blue sky and a nice sunny day!! I don’t know that I can choose one thing about their wedding day that was my favorite! They had a KILLER cake done by Sugar Forest , gorgeous flowers by Ivory Rose, awesome food by Sam Sears and the crew at South Van Catering, the coolest Dodge Charger limo EVER by Celebrity and Boss Limos and of course one of our favorite locations Talon Winery!

We have spent the past few months getting to know Ryan and Nelle and they truly are two amazingly fun people!! Ryan happens to be a Neurologist at UK so unfortunately we get to see him a lot more than we had hoped but that is fine by us… he brings us chocolate so its all good! Ryan and Danelle- we wish you two all the best in life. We hope that this is just the beginning of a long, amazing and happy life together!

Lisa & Nick’s Wedding Photography Movie – Lexington, KY

Lisa and Nick were married at Central Christian Church in Lexington on December 29,2007. It was a beautiful cold crisp winter day. Lisa chose very chic bouquets made from Cabbage for her bridesmaids. Their reception followed at the Ramada Inn. There was great food and tons of dancing. Let me tell you… Lisa can get jiggy!!!!! The grooms cake definitely gets our vote for best groom’s cake ever!! It was a very fun and laid back day. We truly enjoyed photographing Lisa, Nick and the whole family!! We wish you two an amazing, long, and healthy life. May this be just the start of a beautiful life together. Thank you for allowing us to share in your special day!

Toni & Ian’s Wedding Photography Movie – Christ the King & The Lafayette Club, Lexington KY

Christ the King was a happening place for Schmidt Studio & Gallery this wedding season. It is always interesting to see the different couples take on decorating it. I must say I really loved Toni and Ian’s sweeping ceiling decorations in the church. Their pew roses where also just to die for. The carriage ride itself was just a wonderful experience for us as photographers to relax and enjoy their wedding with them. As always the Lafayette Club and cakes made by Leigh Sipe – which was FABULOUS! – the reception a hit and watch closely and you will see the tears on the toasts. I also loved meeting bridesmaids #1, #2, #3, and #4! Enjoy!

Ali & Danny Wedding

Ali and Danny were married at the intimate St. John’s Episcopal Church in Versailles, KY. The day was full of sun and beautiful blue skies. I always love receptions held at the Lafayette Club. Their “cake room” has amazing light and always makes for the most beautiful cake shots of the season. Congratulations to Ali and Danny on their new life together!
