Erica & Adam’s Bodley-Bullock House Wedding

What a beautiful day and gorgeous setting we had for Erica and Adam’s wedding at the Bodley-Bullock House! The venue’s historic charm reflected the grace and beauty of the bride while providing an intimate setting for such a personal celebration. The love Erica and Adam share for each other was evident throughout the day’s festivities, from the way the bride and groom looked at each other to the laughter they shared. Congratulations, Erica and Adam! It was an honor to be a part of your very special day!

The Tohill Family

Sometimes, you get to photograph a REALLY special family. This happens to be one of them. Jami was our middle child’s kindergarten teacher. She ended up moving back home after that year, and therefore, was not able to have Kyleigh in her class when she went to Kindergarten. When Ky found out that she was gone she literally cried. Mrs. Tohill touched our hearts and gave our baby boy so much room to grow- and grow he did! He started out a bit behind and ended the year at the top of his class! We will never be able to thank Mrs. Tohill enough for giving Ross a GREAT start to his school years! Hopefully you can see through these images just how special she is to us!

This is one of my favorite photos from this session.. We have seen Jami make this SAME face at Ross over something or another!

Caitlyn & Ben’s “Skyfall” Engagement Session

Suave, debonair, danger, and, of course, “the girl”… Caitlyn and Ben’s “Skyfall” engagement session had all the elements of a James Bond movie. Well, maybe not so much danger, but we had a great time with this couple as they used this pop culture and style icon for photo inspiration. It was fun for them to express their own style while including their cinema interest. We love when couples make a photo session or wedding details their own! It makes the photos so much more special!

Tales & Ales 2013

The Kentucky Studio team was honored to be a part of the Lexington Humane Society 6th Annual Tails & Ales event this weekend! We had so much fun at this amazing beer-tasting fundraiser at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort and Spa, and we enjoyed some great live music from Kenny Owens! We raised over $200 with our photo booth! Check out these photos of some fun philanthropists and precious pups! We can’t wait to do it again next year!

Erin & Kyle’s Fun Fall Engagement Session

Erin and Kyle have been part of the Kentucky Studio family for about 2 years, and it has been such a pleasure getting to know them! They are certainly a couple that knows what they want and they go after it! Their commitment to each other over the course of their long-term relationship definitely is a testament to that! They are such a sweet couple that complements one another very well! We cannot wait for their May wedding!

On an additional note, we are SUPER proud of Erin’s journey to becoming a physical therapist (made official as of this week!)! With Amber’s recent knee adventures, we can definitely appreciate her chosen career even more! CONGRATULATIONS, Erin!

Laura & Alex’s Talon Winery Engagement Session

We could not have asked for a more beautiful fall day for Laura and Alex’s Talon Winery engagement session (and for their Talon wedding day, too!)! There was a nice fall chill in the air with some beautiful autumn sunlight that photographers just LOVE! Normally we have to ask couples to “act” like they are cold and snuggle for photos, but there was no acting for these two that day! They cuddled, kissed, and gave us sassy attitude like pros, which resulted in some amazing photos!

Joanne & Charlie’s Arboretum Engagement Session

We love when a couple wants to incorporate special touches in their engagement session, especially when it includes a furbaby! We had a great time with Joanne, Charlie, and their precious puppy, Cooper, at their UK Arboretum engagement session! This bride and groom are definitely made for each other, and the addition of their beautiful pup makes them a perfect little family! We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Cooper will be in the wedding!!
