I have had the privilege of photographing Miss Avery since BEFORE she was born! How cool is that? It seems unreal to me that she is a year old. A few things that I have learned about Avery… she is the DEFINITION of “Daddy’s Girl” and she LOVES sweets! She tore into that cake like there was no tomorrow! Hey what girl doesn’t love a little cake??
As a little note to Avery: May the days that lie ahead of you be filled with amazing experiences, immeasurable happiness, and pure joy! The world is yours for the taking! Happy Birthday Avery!
We are happy to welcome to the SS&G Family an adorable little Prince Tate. It seems like just yesterday that we were shooting Leigh Ann and David’s Maternity Session… (oh wait… it WAS!) LOL These portraits were made in the comfort of their own home and Tate was an absolute doll sleeping through most of the session. I just love it when they are so tiny and squishy. It was definitely my privilege to work with Tate and his family.
We will be photographing Kim & Jeff’s wedding on July 26th. I have actually known Kim since HIGH SCHOOL… which seems oh so long ago now… yikes. We are officially getting OLD I believe! It has been great to come back into contact with Kim and to meet and get to know Jeff. I know that these two are just beginning a beautiful life together and we are excited to be a part of their big day!
Keith and Ashley were married on May 17, 2008 at Centenary United Methodist Church and their reception followed at the Embassy Suites on Newtown Pike. I have known Ashley for several years and was MORE than flattered when she and Keith decided to have us photograph their big day. Keith and Ashley are two very special people. I have NEVER seen a couple who have so much FUN together. Ashley has a smile that is just infectious there is no start or end to it… it just erupts into ear to ear grinning and giggling and you can just tell when she looks at Keith that there is no one else on earth who could possibly be any more perfect for her. Keith is an absolute doll! I told Troy after I photographed their engagement almost a year ago that Ashley had definitely met her perfect match. They definitely “complete” each other. I knew going into their wedding day that there would be NO super serious images to be had at this wedding. I don’t honestly know that I have ever seen a bride so giddy happy and excited to walk down that aisle. Their day was a blast filled with a few tears, much love and more laughter than I will ever be able to forget. Keith and Ashley… thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day. Thank you for showing us the meaning of “Live, Laugh, Love”….
We wish you all the best as you begin your life as a married couple! ~Troy and Amber
No its NOT a riddle!!! The following is a REAL Live Youtube video created by Whitney Cvengros at the Wedding of Keith Rickman and Ashley Ledbetter. You can take the girl away from the dance but you can NEVER take the DANCE out of the girl!! You may have seen a sneak peek of their photos here: http://www.kentuckystudio.com/2008/05/25/ashley-keith-centenary-methodist-embassy-suites/
And their full wedding slideshow and galleries are coming SOON - like in the next WEEK!! But for now we thought we would share a little of the dance stylings and wholesome entertainment that happened at the Reception. This is the dance that was of course choreographed by Ashley and performed by Ashley, her brothers & Keith! Move over Judson Laipply… The Evolution of Dance has NOTHING on these 5!!!
Enjoy and be sure to pass it around to all your friends. We have seen all the “first dance” videos that have been posted and MADE HEADLINES… THIS should be one of them! So start making those comments and calling the Today show!
Zach and Jennifer are getting married in September. We were rained out on their first engagement photo session date and nearly melted today! But it was SO worth it. Here’s a sneak peek of their images!
Beth and Brian were married on May 10, 2008 at the Macedonia Christian Church in Lexington. Their reception followed at the Keene Barn Entertainment Center on the gorgeous property of Keeneland. It was our first time photographing a wedding party there and WOW. The day was gorgeous with bright blue cloudless skies and a crisp cool breeze. Beth wore a gorgeous antique lace gown and her bridemaids donned fabulous COACH shoes. (We LOVED those btw!!) It was a high energy day filled with many laughs and tons of love. Beth and Brian celebrated late into the night surrounded by their family and friends. It was our privilege to be a part of their special day.
I truly wish there was a way I could hook up a webcam to watch each of my couples as they see their wedding photos for the first time! I really do wish that I could see the excitement (and tears if there are any!) on their faces as they watch their slideshow and remember their wedding day.
Liz and Josh were married Saturday, May 10, 2008 in the Chapel at Southland Christian Church. Their amazing reception followed at Talon Winery on Tates Creek Road. As stormy Friday evening gave way to a cool crisp Saturday afternoon with clear blue skies and not a single threat of rain. As bright and sunny as the day was Josh and Liz’s tender moments that they shared standing on the altar in front of their unity candle. From the party bus to the heartfelt toasts and speeches made by both Liz’s father and Josh…their wedding day was filled with lots of laughter, a few tears and many newly made memories. It was my honor and privilege to be a part of their day.
The music featured is “The Luckiest” by Ben Folds. This is the song Josh and Liz first danced to as husband and wife.
Yesterday, May 31, 2008 Chelsen and Dackery were married at Cumberland Falls. The drive for us was about 2 hours but TOTALLY worth it. Their ceremony was gorgeous set under a large oak tree with flower lined aisle and overlooking the falls. Not only did nearly 200 guests join Chelsen and Dackery but all the guests of the park were rather and amused and cheered as their kissed their first kiss as husband and wife. Chelsen, in spite of wearing one of the most stunning dresses I have ever seen, was up for anything! This girl, heels and all, was climbing fences, up and over moss covered rocks, AND we even managed to go straight out into the water, dress, tux, and ALL!!!! The celebration continued with a reception at the Dupont Lodge. It was a gorgeous day and we are so happy to have been a part of it! Congrats you two!
Ashley and Keith Rickman were married yesterday, May 24, 2008 at Centenary United Methodist Church. Their reception followed at the Embassy Suites on Newtown Pike. I have known Ashley for at least 10 years now and was so thrilled to get to be a part of her big day! It was an AMAZING day. Lots of laughs and love as Ashley and Keith started their new life together. Ashley looked stunning in her lace strapless gown and Keith in his tux with pocket squares! Gotta love the pocket squares! LOL We even managed to find 10 minutes to stop at Triangle Park for some pictures on the way to the reception. Ashley and Keith got LOTS of honks, as they should! You can tell they were just made for each other! The night was made a little extra special with a serenade by Ashley’s Daddy of the song “I Loved her First”… I assure you … there was NOT a dry eye in the place.
Congratulations Guys… wishing you many years of laughter and love!
