What makes us different from every other wedding photographer?
We specialize in weddings…. period.
We don’t specialize in seniors, families, babies, AND weddings. We aren’t a jack of all trades, we are just a master of one… weddings. We read through wedding magazines, keep our fingers on the pulse of what’s hot, and look for the latest in photographic techniques. We love and LIVE wedding photography. More than a job, it’s WHO we are. Even our children have already started planning their own weddings! (our youngest is 5!)
Our Signature Style
Look through enough wedding images and you will start to pick out “SS&G” images. There is an authentic feel to our images that others cannot reproduce. Trust me they have tried. Some have even asked if we will sell our “treatments” to use on their images.
The problem is that the “SS&G” is not just a treatment, it’s a style in, and OF itself. Some photographers are happy and bright, us… not so much. Not that our images are not beautiful, because we truly feel they are, but our images, are heavy, emotional, deep. They are full of life, color and shadow. We hope you feel the depth, intensity, and emotion of the images as you browse through the site because that is what we want more than anything. We don’t just want you SEE our images, we want you to FEEL them.
Reflection of You
As artists, the best compliment that anyone can give us is even though our images have our signature style to them, they are a reflection of each couple. When you look at their weddings, as much as you see us, you SEE them. Our images are each unique works of art and not everything looks the same. We strive to produce images that evoke an emotional journey, images that take you right back to your wedding day all over again. Because our clients often become friends, more than clients, we are able to capture these moments while also enjoying them and we hope that this is evident in the images.
Moreover, we want YOU to have what you want. It’s YOUR wedding day after all. This is where the engagement session plays into the equation. Enjoy images capturing real moments? LOVE the colorful landscapes? Hate kissing pictures? Adore black and white shots? Our free engagement session helps us prepare to shoot your wedding by allowing us to gauge exactly what your photographic style you enjoy. Plus, we really do have a lot of fun! Every groom comes into the session dreading it and LEAVES saying “that was a blast”!

In the business for over seven years, we still eat, live, and breathe weddings. We are committed to doing everything in our power to make your day the wedding of your dreams. If that means sending people down aisles during the ceremony, sewing hems back in wedding gowns, or helping to pin on boutonnieres, then that is what we do. We keep up with wedding trends and know the best wedding vendors in our industry. It is almost a daily occasion for our brides to call asking for advice on planning the day or for vendor recommendations.
No Fee, No Interest Payment Plans
No matter which package you choose, we extend the offer of a payment plan to each of our wedding couples. These plans break down your balance into monthly payments which have no interest or fees associated. It also allows you to continue paying until three months AFTER your wedding, which we hope makes the payments smaller and more affordable. This is our way of doing what we can to make your perfect wedding, perfectly affordable.
We’re Published
Our style is one that local media has come to appreciate. We truly have some of the most beautiful brides on earth!! The funny thing is, most of them are also insanely creative and have an eye for detail that often lands their weddings on the pages of magazines, featured on websites and blogs! We’ve shot enough weddings we know the details it takes to get in magazines and are willing to take our time to capture those. When we read the comment that friends and family leave, they almost always include “This could be in a magazine!”… yes… that’s what we hope!
We’re just badass
Pardon the french, but honestly and truthfully we’re just badass. We do whatever it takes to create the perfect images. Our track record includes: climbing through sunroofs to stand on the top of a car, wading in the ocean / river up to our waists, running through streets stopping traffic, crawling army style, fighting through waist deep weeds (er grass), wrangling up to 4 dogs at once (yikes!). We have even shimmied out on a 30 ft ledge. It is NORMAL to see us stitching up wedding dresses after the bustle failed, pinning on flowers, fixing bouquets, completely reconstructing bouquets, creating a toss bouquet out of table arrangements, (notice there often “floral mishaps… get a good florist!!), handing over safety pins, bobby pins, stain sticks, bandaids, eye drops, breath mints, and anything else we find necessary. Most often my brides tell me “I don’t know what we would do without you!”.
